Hello my motorcycle friends, for those of you not in southern california, usa: this photo is of a vincent fuel tank in a motorcycle shop-CENTURY MOTORCYCLES IN SAN PEDRO CALIFORNIA-this is very near Los Angeles California. This old man (Bill Cotton) died a few years ago and wanted to be cremated with his ashes placed in a Vincent fuel tank in his beloved motorcycle shop. This is what his loving daughter in fact has done. Old Bill's ashes reside in this Vincent fuel tank on a shelf in Century Motorcycles, San Pedro California, usa. Cyndy Rutherford, Bill's surviving daughter and the current owner of the shop carries on Old Bill's tradition of throwing a party twice a year. In june on fathers day and around the first of December. I have been to many of these parties. This year the weather was very bad, rain and cold, so not too many people showed up. Most years there are a couple of hundred old bikes and old riders. Great fun! Next year, Wesley Stark. |
